Dilip Chhabria Gaia
Pankaj Jhunja, Head of DC Design Studio presented at Geneva the DC Gaia,a complete different car, in comparison to the Infidel of 2002.The Gaia is based on a Mitsubishi Lancer, unbelievable, but it's the truth.
The styling is unique, showing a long hood, the front looks like a sporty, lowered Dodge Pickup. The side-view is dominated by real big wheels,
and the rear is looking like a Chrysler Crossfire, but even more interesting, more powerful.
Joint-Venture partner of Dilip Chhabria is Al-Araba,personalised by Engineer Fouzy Ayoub Sabri.Al-Araba, founded in 1980 is a company in Saudi Arabia, they are in the car business.
(Have a look at their homepage, they sell luxury cars,
they customise cars, they have the possiblity to make chrome, or gold plated parts, and so on...)

The plan is to build "Signature Cars", that means that there will be 25 unique cars, based on the same platform, sharing the same body, BUT with a lot of individual details.
So the buyers will be able to choose, or even to create the final look of the car.

The unveiling of GAIA at Geneva has put India on the European map in the auto designing outsourcing business and Europe's leading car manufacturers have evinced interest in outsourcing automobile designs from India.
The new car to be marketed by AL Araba Group, would be built to order at their state-of-the-art facilities in Saudi Arabia, said Chhabria.
GAIA has been built on the platform of the mid-size sedan Mitsubishi Lancer, Chhabria said adding the signature cars available through the DC Design-AL Araba joint venture company would cater to the discerning and demanding customer.
Comparing it with the existing platform of the Mitsubishi Lancer, Chhabria said the length of 'GAIA' has been increased by up to 13 inches while the height has been reduced by seven inches which meets all international specifications.
Focussing on the $30-billion global auto designing opportunities, he said talks were on with various European manufacturers but declined to reveal their names.
He said the strength of DC Design lay on providing world class automobile development services at third world costs which was proved at the launch of the 'Aston Martin' car in Detroit.
The proposed joint venture would make only 25 cars on any vehicle platform before it was discarded, Chhabria said adding, "Using the options of variable design elements, no two cars produced are the same, giving as output 25 unique designs on a platform."
Chhabria had shot into fame in January after a sports car prototype built by DC Design for Aston Martin was unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show.
The automobile designer had earlier designed cars for domestic companies like Ford India and Ashok Leyland.
